IT Project Manager for Finance
Aubay Portugal is a multinational French company operating in Portugal since 2007, with offices in Lisbon and Porto. We specialize in consulting and managing IT projects for sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage finance transformation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring each project has a clear scope, timeline, and budget.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects/workstreams across the finance transformation programme, managing interdependencies and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
- Coordinate and manage multiple external vendors and implementation partners, ensuring alignment with overall project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain project timeframes, budget estimates, and status reports, ensuring projects stay within approved budget and schedule.
- Allocate and manage resources for projects, anticipating capacity/skills gaps and triggering sourcing where needed.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and proactively identify potential issues, developing risk mitigation plans.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar.
- 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Professional project management certifications are highly valued.
- Strong foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of project governance frameworks (status reporting, change control, risk governance) is expected.
- Nice to have: Exposure to D365 F&O, Treasury management systems, bank connectivity/SWIFT.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Must be living in Portugal with citizenship or legal authorization to work in Portugal.
