About the Client

For one of our clients, a leading international financial institution , we are strengthening the FX e
Trading group – a global team providing services directly to the Spot and Forward FX business. The team designs, develops, and supports solutions delivering critical functionality driven by business needs.

The systems are deployed worldwide, with major hubs in London, New York, Tokyo, and Singapore . The business includes over 100 traders across 5 global centers, with London as the headquarters. Management is strongly committed to positioning the institution among the top 5 FX players worldwide , supported by continuous investment in both business and technology.

The Role

Based in Porto , this position offers the opportunity to work closely with traders, front office, and research teams as part of a small,
- performing group. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining low-latency multithreaded pricing and connectivity systems .

The primary focus will be on enhancing and modernising Spot and Forward FX pricing engines , continuously integrating the latest low-latency technologies and architectures .

Skills & Qualifications

Must-have skills and qualities:

• Strong Java development skills, with
  - on experience building multithreaded systems .
• Experience in FX/Forward trading systems or in high-performance,
  - latency environments .
• Strong motivation to collaborate directly with traders in a
  - paced setting.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills.

Highly desirable experience:

• Exposure to C++ or C# .
• Proven track record in delivering front-office trading systems .
