Randstad is recruiting a Java Developer for the Mobility Business, for its client, Siemens Mobility, a separately managed company of Siemens AG with 160 years of experience in transport solutions.

Siemens operates a Software Development Center in Aveiro, Portugal, focusing on Intelligent Solutions for the future of Mobility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on software used to find and book seats for major international travel brands like Eurostar, Renfe, and SNCF.
• Optimize the processing of asynchronous requests for
  - availability,
  - performance components or enhance process security.
• Improve development pipelines and analyze new feature requests.
• Refactor code continuously to enhance quality and performance.

Skills

• Experience with Java microservices.
• Passionate about refactoring code and improving it.
• Enjoy working in a team that values new perspectives and ideas.
• Interested in learning new programming languages or technologies.
• Familiar with generative AI tools (e. g. , Chat
  GPT, Copilot, Gemini) and capable of applying these to increase efficiency, support data analysis, and improve deliverables.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
