**Role Overview:** The Candidate will join the Platform Integra & Digital Development team whose scope covers frontend and internal applications. The main tasks will be to support the current JAVA applications which are used for credit card processing. This will include further enhancements of the system as well as bug fixes. **What you will do*** Add functionalities on existing applications. * Debug and fix issues on existing applications. * Design and review software architecture when needed. * Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements where necessary. * Make sure that all developments are properly tested before delivering them to ensure good quality. * Participates in every aspect of the development and implementation, working with other department to ensure full understanding of the change implications to current business processes. * Follow good development practices and software development life cycle**Who you are*** 3+ years’ experience in Java Development. * Experience in
- end processing applications. * Experience in developing
- time processing applications. * Multithreading. * Security and encryption standards. * Communication protocols and techniques (Sockets, HTTP, SSL, …). * UML design and description methodology. * Basic knowledge in SQL Development or SQL Server database. * Basic knowledge about Linux command lines. * Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines and containerization is a plus. * Experience with cashless payment technology (credit card, PCI, EMV, test cases) and industry is a plus. * Analytical and proactive skills. * Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain an overview and focus. * Well-organized and structured attitude. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science. * Excellent knowledge of reading/writing English. * Strong communication skills and a team player. * Ability to explain complicated topics clearly and understandably. **Why Planet:**Planet is an equal opportunity employer where diversity is valued, and all employment is decided based on qualifications, merit, and business need.
