Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of scalable,
- performance applications. The ideal candidate has solid experience with modern Java (Java 11+), Spring ecosystem, and microservices architectures, and enjoys working in collaborative Agile environments.

You must be based in Portugal for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain
  - based applications using modern Java technologies.
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Work with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks to deliver robust, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Dev
  Ops, QA, Frontend) to ensure high‑quality software delivery.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure code quality, security, and scalability following best development practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 11+ (Java 17 preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git
  Lab CI, or similar).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Good understanding of SQL / No
  SQL databases.
• Fluency in English (B2).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Kafka, Rabbit
  MQ, or other message brokers.
• Exposure to Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
