What will you do?

• Lead backend engineering teams working on
  - scale distributed systems.
• Provide strong technical guidance, supporting architecture and system design decisions at a high level of rigor.
• Design, review, and validate scalable backend architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and
  - native technologies.
• Balance
  - on technical involvement with team leadership responsibilities.
• Manage delivery, planning, dependencies, and risks across projects and programs.
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, aligning technical execution with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor engineers, including performance reviews, career development, and expectation management in a remote/hybrid setup.
• Collaborate across time zones with internal and external stakeholders.

What do you need?

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java and strong
  - on expertise in Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and leading teams working on
  - scale distributed systems.
• Strong system design skills, able to navigate complex architectures and meet high engineering standards.
• Solid experience with
  - native architectures, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized and scalable applications.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.
• Ability to guide and mentor teams technically, balancing architectural oversight with
  - on contribution when needed.
• Solid people management experience, including performance management, career development, and managing expectations in remote/hybrid teams.
• Strong background in project and program management, including planning, sequencing, dependency management, and risk assessment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with business leaders and aligning technical execution with strategic goals.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones in a distributed team setup.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2).
