JIRA Administrator
We are looking for a highly skilled JIRA & Confluence Administrator to join our IT Business Applications team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of JIRA and Confluence environments, ensuring system stability, user satisfaction, and alignment with the overall IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration
- Administer JIRA and Confluence platforms daily, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Plan and implement upgrades for JIRA, Confluence, and related
- ins in coordination with global product teams. - Maintain and monitor JIRA databases, including data transfers between production and testing environments.
- User Support & Training
- Provide
- user support and training sessions on JIRA and Confluence functionalities. - Develop comprehensive training materials and user documentation.
- Integration & Migration
- Analyze current configurations and manage migrations to new instances when required.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with the broader IT infrastructure.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor server performance, ensuring compliance with security standards and system best practices.
- Create and manage JIRA projects, queries, dashboards, and reports to support business operations.
- Requirements Gathering & Functional Specification
- Collect business requirements and translate them into technical solutions or enhancements.
- Collaborate with user communities to gather insights and feedback.
- Access Management & Security
- Oversee access control, technical permissions, and ensure system security.
- Development & Software Lifecycle Management
- Support the application development lifecycle, including development, testing, UAT support, and technical specifications.
- Manage release processes, system refreshes, and
- regression testing. - Oversee BAU (Business as Usual) IT operations, including governance, license management, incident handling, change management, and system monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in JIRA Administration , including configuration, custom fields, and
- ins. - Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
- Experience working with Agile teams (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe).
- Proficiency in JQL and optional Atlassian
- in development. - Experience with Confluence administration and feature optimization.
- Strong documentation and workflow process skills.
- Good understanding of JIRA APIs and Webhooks for integrations (optional).
- Ability to implement custom XML-based gadgets and complex screen schemes (optional).
Nice to Have
- Experience with JIRA Data Center platform .
- Expertise in Core Java for advanced customizations and system integrations.
