Data Architect (focused on Snowflake)
General Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with extensive experience in data solutions to join our team serving EMEA clients. The role involves leading the technical design of software solutions and collaborating with teams across Europe, Brazil, and Latin America.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with the Snowflake data platform, including setting up warehouses, users, credentials, objects, stages, tasks, and stages.
- Strong background in architecture design and technical leadership.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.
- Ability to translate business problems into data solutions, including BI, analytics, models, and machine learning.
- Proficiency with Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience in gathering and prioritizing
- functional requirements, technical pain points, and environment constraints. - Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Microsoft Data Factory or Apache Airflow.
- Experience scaling data workloads using platforms like Hadoop and Spark.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Ability to collaborate with
- sales teams and present solutions to
- technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in creating proof of concepts and coding, preferably in Python.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and share knowledge with team members.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts and enable multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and engineers.
- Travel to European clients periodically to initiate projects and build relationships.
- Work on diverse projects across different domains.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, and program management teams.
- Ensure solutions adhere to security and performance standards.
- Maintain design documentation and communicate with client teams.
- Assess requirements and develop viable technical solutions.
- Maintain a stable and efficient development environment.
Additional Knowledge Areas:
- Understanding of
- functional requirements like performance, security, privacy, GDPR. - Knowledge of Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with unit, integration, and E2E testing.
