The Role
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing Finance team and support the daily accounting and financial operations of a
- paced, dynamic hospitality group.
This is a
- on role ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is
- oriented, digitally savvy, and eager to learn. You’ll work closely with our Accounting Manager and external accounting partners to maintain the integrity of our financial processes while contributing to our journey of digitalization and internalization of accounting.
We highly value structured thinking, ownership, and strong IT/computer skills. Technical accounting knowledge can and will be developed with us.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management & Operational Accounting
- Collect, organize, and archive financial documents and invoices
- Digitize physical documents and ensure structured storage for accounting purposes
- Prepare and share documentation with our external accounting firm
- Support invoice categorization and integration within Spendesk
- Manage the integration of payment and invoice files through the Spendesk x Flow interface
- Validate data accuracy during integrations and flag inconsistencies
- Review invoices for completeness and accuracy (supplier data, tax ID, dates, amounts)
- Communicate with suppliers to request missing or corrected documents
- Support documentation of employee expenses and reimbursements
Payroll Support
- Assist in preparing payroll documentation
- Liaise with HR and external payroll providers
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing
Administrative & Cross-functional Support
- Assist in basic reconciliations and financial reporting
- Support the Finance and Accounting team on
- hoc administrative tasks - Participate in internal
- building and improvement initiatives
What We Expect From You
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field (completed or nearing completion)
- Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals (double entry, VAT basics, invoices, financial statements)
- Strong logical reasoning, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
- Responsibility and ownership over tasks and deadlines
- Comfort using digital tools and willingness to learn new systems
- Clear and professional communication skills in Portuguese and English
- Proficiency in Excel (comfortable with formulas, filters, formatting, etc. )
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset
