The Role
As a Junior Business Development Liaison, your primary responsibility is to support smooth coordination between the commercial team and internal scientific or technical teams. This role contributes to the early phases of project handover and delivery alignment. You will assist in internal communications, maintain timelines, and ensure accurate documentation to support client satisfaction and successful onboarding.
Key responsibilities
• Assist in planning and coordinating internal meetings for new or ongoing projects & clients in close relationship with the overall BD team.
• Own the proposal process, by initiating the project flow template and gather all relevant scientific input
• Price all proposals based on existing data
• Draft internal summaries and client meeting briefs in support of BD Managers
• Support timeline tracking and project
- off documentation
• Maintain communication records and status updates in all proposals
• Help align expectations between external
- facing discussions and internal technical capabilities
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure readiness for delivery

• Track early deliverables, provide administrative support to
- functional meetings
• Help organize and prepare for business development events such as webinars, client meetings, and industry events
• Flag delays or misalignments to the relevant BD or PM leads
Your Profile
• A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, etc. ), Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or ongoing education in business or biotechnology is a plus.
• Previous internships or academic projects related to business development, marketing, or biotechnology are beneficial but not required.
• Understanding of the biotechnology or life sciences industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with business development concepts, market research, and lead generation.
• Strong research and analytical skills to gather, interpret, and present data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power
Point, Word) and familiarity with CRM tools or sales software is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable way.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a
- paced environment.
• Ability to work with
- functional teams and understand scientific/business interfaces
• Strong organizational and
- management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of biotech product development and commercialization cycles.
• Interest or experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics industries.
• Experience with market research tools, data analysis, and sales software is a plus.
• Knowledge of intellectual property, licensing, and regulatory processes in biotech is a plus.
