The Role
As a Junior BD Operations, you will play a vital role in maintaining data integrity, supporting proposal development, and assisting the commercial team with critical sales operations functions. Your role includes working
- functionally across Business Development teams (BD Liaison and BD Managers), Marketing, Finance and Project Management to ensure operational excellence and process consistency. You’ll be responsible for ensuring CRM platform accuracy, contributing to reporting, and assisting in process improvement initiatives that support the commercial pipeline.
Key responsibilities
• Support inside sales activities including lead
- ups, CRM data entry, and appointment setting
• Support lead assignment and qualification processes in coordination with BD Commercial team
• Assist in market and customer research to identify new business opportunities
• Track and compile weekly and monthly KPIs and assist in creating internal dashboards
• Use CRM tools to maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with marketing and the other BD teams for campaign execution
• Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales documentation
• Perform competitor and pricing analysis
• Coordinate operational processes related to partner or customer onboarding, billing, or delivery
• Identify and implement improvements in sales and operations workflows
• Support onboarding processes for new accounts in coordination with BD Liaison and Finance teams
• Be the
- to for admin tasks that keep our team running like clockwork.
Your Profile
• A bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, etc. ), Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or ongoing education in business or biotechnology is a plus.
• Previous internships or academic projects related to business development, marketing, or biotechnology are beneficial but not required.
• Understanding of the biotechnology or life sciences industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with business development concepts, market research, and lead generation.
• Strong research and analytical skills to gather, interpret, and present data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power
Point, Word) and familiarity with Power
BI and CRM tools or sales software is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable way.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a
- paced environment.
• Ability to work with
- functional teams and understand scientific/business interfaces
• Strong organizational and
- management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Analytical mindset and willingness to work across teams
• Experience with market research tools, data analysis, and sales software is a plus.
• Knowledge of intellectual property, licensing, and regulatory processes in biotech is a plus.
