Job Description
Position Summary:
This role provides essential support to the hotels procurement and logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient provisioning of Food & Beverage, Equipment, Uniforms, Chemicals and Shop items, and other commodities to the fleet. The person responsible for maintaining a continuous and reliable flow of goods in accordance with company policies and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Issue purchase orders in line with vessel requirements and maintain proactive
- up with suppliers to meet delivery deadlines. - Coordinate transportation schedules with freight forwarders, ensuring seamless integration with loading timetables and port operations.
- Prepare for loading days by managing manifests, validating short deliveries, and
- checking purchase order numbers and invoices. - Ensure sourced items comply with established purchasing agreements and specifications.
- Monitor and resolve
- delivery issues in collaboration with vendors and shipboard recipients, securing appropriate adjustments or replacements. - Oversee invoice validation, adhere to logistics documentation standards, and generate regular reports on key logistics and procurement metrics.
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
Qualifications
Essential:
- High level of English language is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of hospitality or maritime industry.
- Understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
