Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Clinical Support Specialist to join our Electrophysiology team at J&J Med
Tech in the South of Portugal.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a clinical background in Cardiology—such as Biomedical Engineering, clinical physiologist, Cardiovascular Technology, or related areas—who is passionate about working with advanced medical technologies.

No prior electrophysiology experience is required; full training will be provided.

Your primary mission will be to support EP procedures, learn to operate 3D mapping systems, and assist clinicians in delivering safe and effective care.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career, motivated to grow in the Med
Tech field and develop strong expertise in electrophysiology technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in electrophysiology procedures, providing
  - site support in EP labs across the South of Portugal.
• Learn to set up, operate, and optimise 3D mapping systems and related consumables.
• Support clinicians during procedures, ensuring smooth workflows.
• Provide technical and clinical assistance to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Participate in structured training programmes on EP technologies, clinical workflows, and mapping systems.
• Gradually deliver basic training to hospital staff as competence is built.
• Engage in ongoing education, mentoring, and field learning with senior team members.
• Build professional relationships with EP doctors, nurses, and technicians.
• Ensure
  - quality service and responsiveness in clinical settings.
• Collect feedback from users to help improve product usage and training.
• Work closely with senior Clinical Support Specialists and Sales colleagues.
• Support product demonstrations, workshops, and educational sessions.
• Ensure alignment with internal teams such as Marketing, Clinical, and Market Access.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering, clinical physiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related health sciences.
• Knowledge or strong interest in Cardiology; motivation to specialise in Electrophysiology.
• Genuine enthusiasm for learning and working with advanced medical technologies.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in hospital environments.
• Ability to work well under supervision and progressively gain autonomy.
• High motivation, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
• Fluency in Portuguese; good English skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel across the South of Portugal.
