We are currently hiring a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our I&E HUB in Lisbon.

What we do on our team: To drive innovation and unlock the full potential of Software-Defined Vehicles, a User Experience Platform is essential for all TRATON brands. This platform serves as the backbone, weaving together multiple layers—from cloud based components to frontend components. The heart of this initiative lies in simplifying complexity. By offering seamless, standardized APIs and a suite of versatile services, features, and tools, the platform empowers each brand to focus on delivering value and accelerating
- driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Shape and evolve the cloud architecture for autonomous and connected vehicles.
• Design, build, and deploy modular cloud systems with scalability and security at their core.
• Continuously improve our infrastructure — diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and drive technical excellence.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to align architecture decisions across brands and platforms.
• Lead initiatives that move us from ideas to tested, deployed solutions.
• Bring pragmatic,
  - world solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Mentor peers and contribute to shaping a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field OR 1+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong
  - oriented programming skills, ideally in Java or Python.
• Solid software engineering foundations with a focus on building scalable and maintainable systems.
• Interest in developing either
  - end services or
  - end experiences — we have opportunities for both.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and
  - native practices (Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, alerting, Paa
  S). Cloud is a
  - have foundation, but we are first and foremost building software.
• Familiarity with Dev
  Ops principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• A builder’s mindset: curious, proactive,
  - driven, and passionate about technology.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
