Junior Controller
Overview
Savannah Resources is a mineral resource development company with nearly 15 years of global experience. It is the sole owner of the Barroso Lithium Project in northern Portugal, the largest identified spodumene lithium resource in Europe to date, where it has focused its efforts over the past seven years.
Through the Barroso Lithium Project, Savannah will help Portugal play a key role in the
- term supply of locally sourced lithium raw material for the rapidly growing European lithium battery value chain.
Following the granting of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in May 2023 and the confirmation of the Project's economic potential through the Scoping Study in June 2023, production is scheduled to begin in 2028. At that stage, Savannah will produce enough lithium to supply around half a million vehicle batteries per year—equivalent to more than three times the number of vehicles purchased annually in Portugal. This level of production also represents a significant contribution to the European Commission’s Critical Raw Materials Act target of at least 10% domestic lithium production in Europe by 2030. The Project was included in the European Commission´s list of Strategic Projects in March 2025.
Savannah is committed to the responsible development and operation of the Barroso Lithium Project, aiming to minimise its environmental impact while maximising the
- economic benefits it brings to all its stakeholders. The company is listed and regulated on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) under the ticker “SAV. ”
