We are looking for a Junior / Mid Backend Software Engineer (Workflow & Automation) to join our Client's team on a hybrid working model.

Work Model:

Professionals living up to 70 km from the Lisbon office: 2 days per WEEK

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with architects and systems analysts to understand software requirements and participate in solution design

Design and develop new features and improvements focused on automation, workflows, and AI-related projects

Use
- code platforms to build automation modules and develop Java-based or PHP-based components

Develop and integrate backend solutions following best practices

Organize, prioritize, and manage development tasks effectively

Contribute to the technical growth and evolution of junior team members

Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field

1–2 years of professional experience in similar software engineering roles

Experience in
- focused projects

Experience with RPA / workflow solutions such as Flowable, BPMN, or Camunda

Solid understanding of OOP concepts and backend development with Java OR PHP (experience in both is not required)

Experience developing and consuming REST and SOAP web services

Good understanding of relational databases ( My
SQL and SQL Server )

Experience with Git and Maven

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Team spirit, initiative, and good communication skills

Experience working with Agile methodologies

Good spoken and written Portuguese and English
