Fraunhofer Portugal AICOSis seeking a talented Junior ML Scientist to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team within the Intelligent Systems group. In this role, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, working on applied research projects that bridge the gap between
- edge research and
- world impact. You will contribute to initiatives that enhance industries, promote social
- being, and improve quality of life.
Your Role
Develop advanced anomaly detection and forecasting modules to analyse financial time series, identify risks and provide strategic insights based on historical data trends.
Your Profile
Academic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Data science, Artificial Intelligence or related studies.
- Programming proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e. g. , Sklearn, Tensor
Flow, Keras, Py
Torch); - Interest in creating machine learning models from time series.
- Excellent English communication skills (technical and general audiences);
- Capacity to translate research findings into actionable insights for
- world applications.
- Familiarity with machine learning for tabular data and time series;
- Experience or interest in forecasting;
- Interest in applied research in AI and ML;
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and
- functional teams; - Autonomous, dependable, proactive, and a
- thinking team player.
