POSITION SCOPE

GENERAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a detailed understanding of the packaging process, machinery, and daily operations.
- Learn the roles and responsibilities within the packaging area.
- Understand key parts and functions of packaging machinery.
- Learn about planned maintenance procedures and the implications of overhauls.
- Identify common faults and reactive work in the area.
- Gather insights from technicians about challenges and issues.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement projects and assist in implementation.
- Plan and organize project approaches, including root cause analysis and design changes, collaborating with technicians, operators, and managers.
- Update and develop documentation, P&ID’s, and procedures to maintain knowledge base.
- Provide guidance to supervisors on responding to packaging issues.
- Assist in coordinating
- solving efforts requiring technical input. - Support safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with SOPs and GMPs.
- Implement control measures to prevent contamination and support food defense.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities related to packaging.
- Develop and maintain relationships with support functions like supply chain and procurement.
- Ensure products meet quality, food safety, and authenticity standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and sustainability, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, demonstrating time management and organizational skills.
- Apply critical thinking and
- solving skills to identify solutions. - Communicate effectively, including coaching and training teams.
- Be proactive,
- oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects. - Demonstrate leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Express interest in advancing to leadership roles in manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Previous internship experience is advantageous.
- Show flexibility, coordination skills, and understanding of control systems and project management.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- B. S. or M. S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Controls) from an accredited university (preferred).
