About the Opportunity

Earlier this year, a new tech hub in Portugal launched focused on industrial automation and digitalization and it is now expanding. We’re opening two junior seats for motivated people who want to learn fast, work on real client projects, and grow into full‑fledged SCADA/MES/Io
T engineers.  Tech Recruitment is the recruitment partner supporting this growth. If you’re finishing school or have up to ~1 year of experience and love the idea of building modern automation systems, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Support the design, configuration and testing of SCADA solutions alongside senior engineers.
• Help integrate SCADA with PLCs, sensors, historians and MES/Io
  T components.
• Participate in factory/site tests, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Shadow seniors, rotate across projects and gradually own small deliverables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement on monitoring, data acquisition and control.

• Historians: GE Vernova Historian,  OSI PI (AVEVA),  Influx,  Timescale (on Postgres).
• General: REST APIs,  SQL Server,  Git, basic Python,  React (plus a bit of Angular).

What You Bring

• Genuine interest in automation, SCADA and digitalization (projects, internship or thesis count!).
• Basics of control systems/industrial networks and curiosity to learn fast.
• Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and willingness to document your work.
• Team player who communicates clearly in English.
• Availability to work
  - site in the Lisbon/Parque das Naçoes area and to travel occasionally (client/site visits).

Nice to Have (not required)

• Exposure to one SCADA tool (even academic).
• Any PLC fundamentals, SQL, Python or Git.
• Understanding of data flows (SCADA → Historian → MES/Io
  T dashboards).
