INDIE LEADERS OF TOMORROW: JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER TRACK
We are thrilled to invite ambitious recent graduates to join our Junior Software Engineer track as part of the Indie Leaders of Tomorrow program, based at our Lisbon headquarters. In this track, you'll work on
- world tech challenges, contribute to impactful features, and develop core engineering skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.
As a Junior Software Engineer, you'll rotate across several tech squads — such as product engineering, infrastructure, platform tools, and data — gaining
- hand experience in how our systems are built and scaled.
This program includes 4 core stages:
Here's what you'll gain throughout the program:
End-to-End Engineering Experience: Work on key products used by thousands of travelers, contributing to
- stack features, system architecture, or developer tooling;
Engineering Leadership Exposure: Shadow senior engineers and tech leads, observing their
- making and participating in code reviews and planning sessions;
Mentoring & Peer Collaboration: Learn through pair programming and mentor junior interns, strengthening your collaboration and communication skills;
Cross-Team Rotation: Rotate across different development squads to understand the breadth of our tech stack — from backend APIs to
- end UX to Dev
Ops tools;
Career Advancement: Upon completing the program, you'll have the opportunity to lead projects, apply for advanced tech education support, or take a more specialized engineering path within Indie Campers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Recent graduate or enrolled in a Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;
- Up to 2 years of experience in software development (internships count!);
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e. g. , Java
Script/Type
Script, Python, Java, or Go); - Basic understanding of web technologies and version control (Git);
- Curious, fast learner, and comfortable with solving problems in dynamic environments;
- Motivated by ownership, autonomy, and continuous improvement;
- Collaborative,
- oriented, and eager to build scalable solutions; - Eligible for IEFP professional internship;
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
