Role Description
The Transition Project Manager is accountable for leading and delivering transition initiatives, ensuring the successful setup and expansion of operations. This role involves coordinating
- functional teams, managing project timelines, mitigating risks, and driving effective stakeholder communication. The Transition Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that transitions are executed smoothly, on time, and in alignment with strategic business goals.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and resource allocations for the initial setup and future expansion of the GBS centers.
- Establish and maintain a robust risk management framework to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Partner with functional leaders to align transition activities with broader organizational objectives and growth strategies.
Transition Execution and Change Management
- Lead

- end transition projects, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource utilization in accordance with the transition roadmap. - Implement transition strategies that support seamless integration of new processes, systems, and teams.
- Identify and address change resistance, fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all transitioned processes comply with quality, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with global PMO teams to leverage best practices and ensure consistency across transition programs.
Project Reporting
- Deliver regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Maintain transparent and timely communication channels to ensure alignment and informed
- making. - Continuously update project documentation to reflect current status and evolving requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Facilitate effective communication between headquarters and GBS centers to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
- Act as a central point of contact for
- functional teams, resolving issues and promoting knowledge sharing.
Training & Onboarding
- Collaborate with HR and department heads to design and implement training programs for new employees joining the GBS.
- Oversee the development of onboarding materials and process documentation to support successful integration.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to familiarize teams with new tools, systems, and workflows.
Learning Goals
- How to design and manage transition project plans, including resource allocation, risk mitigation, and timeline control.
- How to apply change management techniques to lead smooth transitions and drive adoption across teams.
- How to communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely
- making. - How to monitor transition performance using KPIs and reporting tools to track progress and identify improvement areas.
- How to collaborate across global teams and PMO offices to share knowledge and ensure consistency in execution.
- How to develop and deliver onboarding and training programs that support successful integration of new employees and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory. Portuguese would be a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a
- paced environment. - Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required for transition activities.
- Professional experience in Project Management and/or in Global Business Services would be a plus.
