Why this job is important
As a Certified Senior Accountant, you’ll be central to the financial health and compliance of our Portuguese legal entity, Kantar Business Services, Lda (KBS). Your expertise will ensure our accounting processes are robust, our reporting is accurate, and our business continues to thrive. You’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners, making a real impact on how we operate and grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Enhancing and managing internal accounting procedures, including payroll,
- close, tax, and procurement processes. - Defining and documenting accounting policies to support day‑to‑day office operations.
- Ensuring compliance with Portuguese accounting standards and Kantar Group policies.
- Preparing and submitting tax and social security forms, meeting all deadlines.
- Acting as the main point of contact for tax consultants and external auditors.
- Supporting senior leadership with management reports, budgets, and financial planning.
- Signing off the annual financial statement as the Certified Accountant.
The Skills & Experience Needed As Certified Senior Accountant
- Certified Accountant (“Contabilista Certificado”) status, eligible to sign Financial Statements.
- Experience as a certified accountant for a Portuguese entity (ideal, but not essential).
- Fluent English, with strong communication skills for working with senior stakeholders.
- Independence, proactivity, and a willingness to build end‑to‑end accounting processes.
