Key Account Manager - Automotive Industry
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Achieve agreed annual sales/new business targets.
Maintain active and effective networking relationships within OEM organizations to identify business growth opportunities.
Develop
- time, accurate, and complete quote packages with assistance from support teams within JAC Products.
Effectively negotiate sales contracts to achieve JAC financial targets, ensure market competitiveness, and represent good value to the customer.
Responsible for leading the overall customer relationship and ensuring the successful resolution of commercial issues – either directly as appropriate, or through JAC Products teammates.
Negotiate Engineering & Design Projects for customer on a project basis as requested.
Schedule and conduct Business Review Visits (at the Customer site and/or JAC Products site) and related presentations.
Successfully pursue opportunities to conduct technology shows and present new product concepts to customer design, engineering and purchasing teams.
Review and approve, as appropriate, all Purchase Orders and invoices; Responsible for payment collections that fall beyond terms.
Monitor JAC Products performance in key areas affecting overall customer satisfaction and our status for quoting new business. Provide timely alerts to the JAC Products team regarding areas of concern.
Create and maintain accurate / accessible and organized documentation
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Proven Account and Sales Management skills required to achieve sales targets and to create, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
Extremely detail oriented. Analytical and project management skills
Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc)
Motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator
Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related functional areas.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 5 years of Automotive Account/Sales Management, preferred Tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
Experience in managing new business development campaigns, coordinating team members, developing timetables and setting deadlines in order to achieve sales objectives.
Successful experience in negotiating sales contracts, coordinating the preparation/costing of new product quotes.
