Key Account Manager

As an IQVIA Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for new business development efforts, building and nurturing
- level relationships, and driving revenue growth by leveraging IQVIA’s full suite of solutions for the Pharma and Life Science industry in Portugal.
This role combines direct sales execution with
- functional collaboration with solution experts, service leaders, and delivery teams to craft innovative,
- centric solutions that meet the evolving needs of your target clients.
We are seeking a dynamic,
- oriented executive to join our Commercial team and play a key role in revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate should understand the Pharma industry and its commercial challenges, and demonstrate a strong ability to hunt and drive white space sales initiatives.
The candidate will ideally be able to sell one or more of our core offerings, including:
- Data & Analytics
- Marketing Services
- Real-World Evidence (RWE)
- Consulting Services
- Technology and AI
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Seeking a hunter with a proven sales success in the Pharma industry who understands the key priorities of the Pharma life science client segment and manages activities to achieve or exceed revenue and growth goals for target clients.
- Drive new business in the Pharma Life Science market segment through direct sales.
- Leverage the full IQVIA portfolio to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Coordinate activities to ensure effective execution aligned with client needs and revenue targets, working
- functionally to build solutions. - Develop strategies to expand scope within existing clients and identify new business and
- back opportunities. - Lead pursuit efforts for new business and contract expansion within assigned accounts through prospecting and hunting.
- Lead negotiations for renewing contracts as needed.
- Manage client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with marketing, product specialists, consulting, and customer experience teams to promote IQVIA’s full portfolio.
- Develop and monitor account plans, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Train less experienced sales team members on account management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, including B2B account management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field (advanced degrees preferred).
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of specialty care areas (e. g. , oncology, immunology, rare diseases) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Pharma procurement processes and
- making structures. - Understanding of IQVIA’s portfolio or similar offerings preferred.

- Experience in contract negotiation and managing complex sales cycles.
