Laboratory Analyst Braga

Silico
Life is a biotechnology company applying AI-powered biology to sustainably produce valuable compounds through fermentation. We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to analyze data from fermentation processes with a strong technical background in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The successful candidate will be responsible for method development, validation, equipment maintenance, and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize HPLC methods tailored to various sample matrices and project needs.


• Operate and maintain HPLC systems to ensure efficient, reliable analytical performance.


• Prepare samples, calibration curves, and system suitability tests in adherence to established procedures.


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with instruments, performing regular preventive maintenance and calibration.


• Collaborate closely with
  - functional teams.


• Maintain compliance with internal SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.


• Proven experience in HPLC operations, method development, and data interpretation within a regulated environment.


• Familiarity with validation protocols and method optimization.


• Solid understanding of laboratory practices, including sample preparation, instrument troubleshooting, and data integrity.


• Experience in Downstream Processing (DSP) is a bonus, particularly regarding sample purification, formulation, or related processing techniques.


• Proficiency or
  - on experience with LC-MS, GC and NMR as additional analytical techniques is highly desirable.


• Strong
  - solving and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
