About The Job

• The Labour Law Counsel will work directly with the Senior Labour Law Counsel to provide
  - related legal assistance in daily operations to the Human Resources Department and other business areas as required.

Your Main Activities Are

• Provide legal support to the Human Resources team regarding Portuguese Labour Law matters.
• Review and draft labour contracts and all legal documents used by the Human Resources Department.
• Prepare, review, and update internal regulations and policies as needed.
• Provide legal opinions, studies, reports, and correspondence as required.
• Participate in meetings with Employees Workers’ Councils (“Comissão de Trabalhadores”) and Banking Trade Unions.
• Assist Human Resources Business Partners in individual meetings with employees when necessary.
• Analyze claims and grievances, and prepare all necessary legal documentation for disciplinary actions related to employee misconduct.

Profile And Skills To Success

• Law Degree from a Portuguese university.
• Admission to the Portuguese Bar Association.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Portuguese Labour Law.
• Knowledge of data protection law.
• Experience advising on Labour Law issues, including litigation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to achieve results amid conflicting interests.
• Teamwork skills.
• Solve problems and make decisions effectively, with a focus on results and high performance.
• Strong work ethics, confidentiality, and a collaborative approach aligned with Human Resources values.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power
  Point).
