About This Role

Our Cloud Engineering team develops and operates the orchestration of the cloud infrastructure on top of which the Out
Systems is hosted. This cloud infrastructure supports hundreds of customers, with a total count of millions of
- users worldwide.

As a Lead Cloud Engineer you will be a key player in growing this team. You will be coaching and mentor junior Engineers in the team, as well as contributing for a resilient and reliable Cloud. You are a developer (or former developer) who has learned cloud infrastructure, databases, and operational
- practices along the way.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Work alongside your Team Lead to provide technical leadership to the team.
• Align with company goals, raise the standard of engineering, introduce new technologies, mentor team members, mitigate risks.
• Play a key role in growing a new team through participation in the hiring process and mentoring new hires.
• Plan, execute, and automate complex operations such as cloud migrations, Cross-region DR, etc. . .
• Develop and maintain AWS based services, using API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo DB, and other AWS services.
• Develop and maintain tooling within the Out
  Systems ecosystem to automate manual processes.
• Last-line troubleshooting of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having
  - call support.
• Be a key stakeholder in the design of cloud services so that they are resilient from day 0.

Qualifications / What You Need To Succeed

• 6+ years of experience in software development, including support and operational duties.
• Application development skills in at least one
  - level programming language (C++, Python, Java, C#, etc. ).
• A strong understanding of core internet technologies (e. G. TCP/IP)
• Programming skills in at least one
  - level programming language (C++, Python, Java, C#, etc. ).
• Experience with AWS technologies - including EC2, RDS, VPC, Cloud
  Watch, Cloud
  Trail, Cloud
  Front, Cloud
  Formation. Similar experience with other cloud providers is valued.
• Experience with automation and Ia
  C (Cloud
  Formation, Terraform, Chef, etc. )
• Experience in designing resilient and
  - tolerant systems.
• Availability to be part of the 24x7
  - call rotation.
• Fluency in English and good communication skills.

Ways to Stand Out From The Crowd

• A strong track record of project delivery for large,
  - functional projects.
• AWS Solutions Architect or greater certification, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform Certifications.
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux.
• Experience with RDBMS operations.
• Experience with Out
  Systems development.
• Capacity planning.
• Comfort in technology/engineering advocacy and public speaking.
