About the job
As a Lead Cyber Security Project Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation’s digital assets. This position is pivotal in delivering complex cybersecurity programmes and projects, including the implementation of the Microsoft Defender suite and Microsoft SIEM Projects. You will ensure these projects align with organisational goals, mitigating risks and enhancing operational resilience!
Collaborating closely with Technology Services, Information Security Leads, Finance, and preferred vendors like Microsoft and Kyndryl, you will act as the driving force behind project execution. Your responsibilities will include managing multifaceted teams, ensuring seamless delivery, and contributing significantly to strengthening the organisation’s cyber defence. By integrating diverse teams and resources, you’ll help achieve strategic outcomes that protect and empower the organisation’s technological infrastructure.
Job Goals
Implement the Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and Microsoft Sentinel projects effectively.
Develop and maintain detailed project business cases, plans, and CRAID logs for all assigned projects.
Manage complex dependencies and risks across projects while balancing divisional objectives and priorities.
Establish success metrics and criteria for portfolio projects, ensuring measurable outcomes.
Facilitate continuous improvement by collaborating with Transformation and Information Security teams to remove blockers and enhance delivery methodologies.
Ideal Skills & Capabilities
Expertise in delivering complex Information Security solutions at scale within a global enterprise environment, with a focus on implementing Microsoft Defender capabilities and SIEM solutions alongside application integration and supporting workflows.
Strong knowledge of Lean and Agile principles, practices, and frameworks, such as SAFe (Scrum Agile Framework) or similar certifications (e. g. , SPC).
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change effectively in environments with high levels of ambiguity and uncertainty.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing diverse teams while fostering collaboration and maintaining a servant leadership approach.
Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2, with an ability to align technical security initiatives to organisational goals and strategic outcomes.
