Data & Business Intelligence Analyst
Stefanini is hiring a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to join one of our clients operating in Lisbon, within the energy industry.
Candidates must be experienced with Microsoft Purview.
- Work model : hybrid from Lisbon
- Project duration : until the end of October 2026
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- creating documents for data presentation;
- ensuring the implementation of strategy for data visualization;
- gathering information/preparation of reports to support
- making; - creating User Stories for the Data Warehouse;
- data modeling in the Data Warehouse;
- gathering of ad hoc data from commercial and/or analytical systems.
Additional responsibilities/tasks:
- Develop dashboards to visualize results and provide actionable insights based on business requirements;
- Implement security levels for access control on dashboards;
- Ensure the rollout of Data Governance across multiple projects, including cataloging of data assets, business assets, and data products in Purview;
- Apply technical and functional rules in Purview (e. g. , Uniqueness, Format, Containment);
- Configure and execute data profiling and data quality scans on supported data assets;
- Set up notifications to alert business stakeholders about data quality issues in Purview;
- Establish connections to Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics, and other relevant sources within Purview;
- Conduct onboarding and training sessions;
- Provide support to business teams related to Purview usage, Data Governance, and Data Quality;
Role requirements:
- Up to 5 years of experience in similar roles;
- Up to 5 years in Data Governance implementation projects
- Experience with Dashboard tools, SQL and Excel;
- Proficiency with tools and platforms including: Microsoft Purview , Microsoft Fabric , Power BI , Azure , Databricks , SQL , AWS .
- Hands‑on experience implementing data quality rules in Purview.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience creating executive‑level presentations and reports.
- Language proficiency in Portuguese and English.
- DAMA framework knowledge.
Nice‑to‑have experience:
- DOMO tool;
- Previous projects for Portuguese Energy industry;
- Spanish fluency.

About the role:
This is a hands‑on technical and analytical role focused on transforming fragmented, unstructured data into structured, insight‑ready datasets.
You’ll work across CVs, job descriptions, internal notes, and compensation data, developing tools and dashboards that bring consistency, clarity and analytical value.
What will you do:
Data Extraction & Structuring
- Extract and structure information from CVs, job descriptions, Linked
In data, and internal research databases. - Parse compensation data (base, bonus, total package) from unstructured consultant notes and text fields.
- Clean, deduplicate and standardize datasets; maintain consistent taxonomies for roles, functions, seniorities and geographies.
- Develop and maintain data libraries that feed directly into analysis and reporting workflows.
- Build and maintain internal compensation dashboards (e. g. Power BI, Tableau) to visualize salary and bonus trends by commodity, geography and role.
- Support analysts with high‑quality datasets for benchmarking, client deliverables and market reports.
- Ensure dashboards are accurate, well‑documented, and updated regularly.
Tooling & Process Development
- Evaluate existing and emerging tools and platforms for CV/JD parsing, text extraction, ETL workflows, and data visualization.
- Recommend and implement optimal solutions for automation, data integration, and storage (in collaboration with internal IT and stakeholders).
- Document tool usage, workflows, and best practices to ensure scalability and reproducibility.
- Partner closely with the Talent Intelligence Consultants and the Head of Talent Intelligence to prioritize data requirements and ensure alignment with project needs.
- Establish and maintain data quality and governance standards, including version control and compliance with privacy requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing development of the company’s proprietary data frameworks and talent taxonomies.
Who you are:
You’re a technically capable problem‑solver who enjoys finding structure in complexity. You understand how reliable data underpins insight, and you’re comfortable bridging the gap between raw data and commercial intelligence.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience working with unstructured text data (CVs, JDs, PDFs, notes).
- Strong SQL and database management skills.
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent).
- Understanding of ETL workflows, data cleaning, and schema design.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to explain technical processes to non‑technical colleagues.
Preferred
- Familiarity with APIs, web scraping, or automation frameworks.
