Lead Developer Lisboa

We are seeking a Lead Developer / Technical Team Lead to provide technical direction, architectural guidance, and mentoring within the Portal Team. In this role, you will oversee solution design, ensure the quality of delivery, and act as the key technical point of contact with other teams and executive management. You will still contribute
- on in fullstack development, but with a strong focus on leadership and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architectural decisions for the Portal Platform.
• Oversee and govern code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Guide and mentor team members, troubleshoot issues, and support development.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Oversee the N-tier architecture and 3rd party integrations.
• Act as technical spokesperson in
  - team discussions.
• Report on delivery quality, risks, and progress to executive management.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of business context by taking ownership of the Portal product and actively contributing to its continuous improvement and enhancements.
• Ensure a broad perspective on how solutions fit within the wider Business Unit and IT ecosystem, thinking beyond the immediate scope of the portal.
• Robust architectural designs and system integrations.
• High-quality, maintainable, and scalable codebases.
• Clear documentation and
  - sharing to enable smooth handovers.
• Effective mentoring and team support for consistent delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer.
• Strong background in architecture, system design, and technical leadership.
• Typically, 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership/architectural role.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading Agile teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience as a technical lead in distributed or international teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Dev
  Ops practices.
• Cloud certifications or advanced Azure experience.
• Background in telecoms or digital
  - service platforms is an advantage.
