Overview

Are you ready to use your technical and leadership skills to develop and drive the supplier quality & HSE strategy within a global team of motivated professionals? This role is part of the Supplier Quality & Development in the Vestas MED region, coordinating SQ&D activities and ensuring a strong focus on quality, safety and environment when developing and executing category strategies. The key task is the strategic and operational development of key suppliers in South Europe, Turkey, Middle East & Africa by performing site audits, supplier assessments and leading QSE improvement projects to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents and reduce
- conformities.

The SQ&D Department operates within a matrix organization, collaborating with internal functions such as procurement, engineering, manufacturing facilities, service & project management.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers
• Responsible for supplier lifecycle management for a given commodity, in line with regional & global strategy
• Execute new market entry strategy & new supplier onboarding, ensuring only capable suppliers become part of Vestas-' supply base
• Deploy APQP4Wind framework for part qualification to approve capable suppliers
• Conduct Supplier Business Review Meetings with
  - functional participation
• Identify systemic issues and implement the supplier development plan using the quality toolbox
• Deploy a continuous improvement mindset/framework to secure supplier maturity

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Casting, Metallurgy, Material or Mechanical) or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or relevant industry background (Casting or Metallurgy)
• Green Belt Six Sigma is beneficial
• Certified VDA 6. 3 auditor or ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001
• APQP framework experience or certification
• NDT certifications (VT, UT, PT, RT)
• Relevant commodity acumen with casting knowledge mandatory
• Project management skills to manage complex development projects across the organization
• Proficient in data analytics and
  - solving with ability to deliver actionable solutions
• Strong communication skills in English, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders in an international,
  - functional environment
• Organized, with demonstrated learning and critical thinking abilities
• Full proficiency in English

Additional information

This is a hybrid position based in Porto, Portugal or Madrid, Spain. The role requires up to 30% travel, including short trips up to one week.
