Lead Front End React Developer

We are seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to join our engineering team, either on a permanent or contract basis, to work on an AI-based platform from our offices in Lisbon, Porto, or Faro.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing
- quality,
- ready React/Next
JS
- page applications, making architectural decisions, mentoring
- end developers, and collaborating within an Agile environment. You will work closely with design and marketing teams, engage with clients, and manage projects from conception to deployment. We are looking for a strong communicator with a deep understanding of modern
- end technologies, a talent for building reusable code, and a desire to make a significant impact.

What you'll get to do:

1. Develop and Maintain High-Quality Front-End Applications: Create prototypes and
   - ready React/Next
   JS
   - page applications, ensuring quality through code reviews, unit testing, accessibility, and performance optimization.
2. Lead and Mentor a Front-End Team: Lead an Agile workstream, contribute to planning and estimates, mentor junior developers, and manage workloads effectively.
3. Collaborate and Communicate Effectively: Engage with clients, design, and marketing teams to gather requirements, present solutions, and escalate issues, ensuring clear communication across teams.
4. Contribute to Architecture and Integrations: Participate in architectural decisions, implement and maintain them, and contribute to platform integrations.
5. Drive Innovation and Ownership: Build modular, reusable code, stay current with evolving technologies, and own projects from idea to delivery, including maintenance and scaling.
6. Support Team Growth: Assist in recruitment through technical assessments and team fit evaluations.

What you should have:

• Expertise in React & Next. js: Extensive experience with React, Next. js (including
  - side and serverless development), and core
  - end concepts.
• Type
  Script & State Management Skills: Proficient in Type
  Script and state management technologies like Redux/Flux.
• Agile Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading Agile teams and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
• Front-End Architecture Knowledge: Deep understanding of performance, accessibility, SEO, security, usability, build pipelines (Webpack, Grunt), and tooling (ESLint, Prettier).
• Development Tools & Practices: Experience with Git, CI/CD, pair programming, Storybook, and external system integrations.
• Responsive Design & Cross-Browser Compatibility: Skilled in responsive layouts and
  - browser/device compatibility.
• Work Ethic & Team Player: Motivated, proactive, willing to contribute to various tasks, and experienced in mentoring junior developers.

Note: You should be available until 18:00 PL to collaborate with our UK project team.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with e
  Commerce platforms (Magento, Hybris, Shopify)
• Experience with CMS platforms like AEM, Sitecore, SFCC
• Rapid prototyping skills
• Knowledge of Node. js, Express, SQL, Lambda, AWS
• Experience creating site architecture diagrams, wireframes, process flows
• Experience with Java, Node. js, C#, PHP projects
