Lead Java Software Engineer - Contract. Location: Lisbon/Hybrid (3 days onsite). Role focuses on Data & AI and Software Engineering across Europe for Tiger Resourcing ltd.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver complex engineering initiatives.
• Write
  - quality, secure, modular, and testable
  - end code.
• Architect and maintain technical roadmaps, ensuring scalability and resiliency.
• Mentor and guide development teams on best practices.
• Collaborate with global,
  - functional teams.
• Contribute across the full SDLC, including CI/CD and deployment.

Required Skills

• Strong background in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, JUnit, Oracle.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns (latency, scalability, resiliency).
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and core CS principles.
• Practical experience in Agile software development.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices (SOLID, DRY, SRP).
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Dev
  Ops practices.
• Experience refactoring monoliths into decoupled services (strangulation,
  - corruption layers).
• Exposure to payments/financial systems.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Duration: 6–12 months
• Location: Lisbon/Hybrid (3 days onsite)
