We're hiring a Maintenance Engineer!
To be responsible for coordinating, planning and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, guaranteeing the availability of the equipment for which they are responsible. Act as a central point between the maintenance team and other departments, promoting process efficiency and safety in the working environment.
As part of the Production Department, report to the area manager. This professional need to be dynamic, overcome challenges, iresilient and autonomous in his area of activity. Needs to like the challenges and don't be afraid to make conscious decisions, which are based on a strategic sense, always looking for continuous improvement and the development of his team.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Planning and organizing maintenance activities:
- Developing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, aligning activities according to the priority and urgency of needs.
- Coordinating and delegating tasks to the maintenance team, ensuring that all operations are carried out on time and with high quality.
2. Supervising and leading the team:
- Supervising the maintenance team, providing technical support and developing the skills of team members.
- Carrying out training for the team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with safety standards.
3. Ensuring Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with applicable safety standards and regulations. - Implement and monitor safety practices at work, promoting a safe environment for all employees.
4. Resource and materials management:
- Controlling and organizing the stock of materials required for maintenance, managing consumption and placing orders when necessary.
- Analysing the maintenance budget and optimizing the use of resources to reduce costs without compromising the quality of services.
5. Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes.
- Analyze recurring failures and develop solutions to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault reports, repairs carried out and improvements implemented.
- Prepare performance reports and present efficiency metrics to the leadership team.
Requirements and skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / other or related areas
- Experience in leading maintenance teams, preferably in the automotive industry (min. 8 years)
- Solid knowledge of preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.
- Skills in managing resources and budgets.
- Problem-solving, leadership and teamwork skills.
