ENG Bauen continues to play an active role in supporting the wave of capital investment programmes shaping Portugal’s energy and industrial landscape. The Sines region is at the heart of this growth, with ongoing CAPEX activity spanning green hydrogen, ammonia, sustainable fuels, and advanced industrial infrastructure. We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a
- profile, technically challenging project, delivering mechanical and piping systems critical to the safe, efficient, and timely execution of this programme.

This project offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists and industry leaders on one of Portugal’s most innovative energy transition initiatives. The role will see you leading design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical engineering solutions, covering both static and rotating equipment, while contributing to a project that will have a significant national and international impact.

- term opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to step into a lead role on a technically challenging and strategically important project in Portugal.

The Role:

• Lead Mechanical Engineer on a major green hydrogen and sustainable fuels project
• Deliver mechanical and piping designs within budget, schedule, and quality expectations
• Oversee execution of all mechanical engineering aspects, from concept through detailed design and construction support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery

The Person:

• Strong knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment in Energy, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects
• Experience with piping codes: ASME B31. 1, ASME B31. 3, BS EN 13480
• Proficient in CAD tools such as Auto
  CAD, Plant3D, E3D/PDMS, Caesar II
• 5+ years as a Lead/Senior Engineer within an EPC/EPCM environment
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, with strong stakeholder management skills
