Main Purpose
As a Lead Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of client projects, leading and engaging the Project Management team in the fulfilment of client expectations and SMARTIDIOM’s ISO standards. This is a
- time position, in which you will work on deliveries for a portfolio of customers, in a hybrid model – both in our Office in Leiria and remote within Portugal (home based).
Responsibilities
- Leading the Project Management team to successful execution and delivery of client projects, by overseeing project activities and ensuring resolution to any problems that may arise;
- Managing project finances, including budgeting, and controlling project costs, ensuring target profit margins are achieved and finance systems are kept up to date and accurate;
- Identifying areas of concern within the team where productivity efficiencies need to be gained;
- Preparing, organizing and monitoring the overall workflow processes and timelines, efficiently predicting the lifespan of all the stages of the project in a
- paced environment; - Assigning tasks and mentoring the Project Management team to support client success from a revenue, gross margin and operational level;
- Supporting project activities such as file analysis and preparation, sending prepared information to the internal resources and external vendors and performing quality checks at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy;
- Identifying and prioritizing the best resource for every project, by ensuring qualified resources are used and clarifying requirements for resources up front;
- Contacting our vendor database to staff projects and negotiating deadlines and rates with vendors globally;
- Growing the portfolio of active clients and accounts, by prospecting new and existing clients and accounts;
- Preparing/supervising periodic meetings with the main clients and organizing onboarding sessions and
- off calls to ensure that proper expectations and processes are defined
- front; - Establishing and nurturing excellent relationships with all stakeholders: the internal team, clients and vendors;
- Actively seeking ways to optimize delivery, client satisfaction, quality and profitability and monitoring of Service Delivery related KPIs (on-time delivery, vendor costs,
- house costs, profitability, productivity, volume per service and per language combination, number of complaints, client satisfaction, revenue throughput, client growth).
Qualifications
- Proven project management experience in a
- paced,
- centric environment in the translation industry; - University Degree in any area;
- 1 to 2 year(s) of professional experience in service/project management or in a similar role in corporate environment;
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and workload, high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines and organize heavy workloads or complex project situations;
- Oral and written fluency in Portuguese and English and outstanding communication skills;
- Experience in financial and budget management;
- Autonomy, energy, strong team spirit and proactive attitude;
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
- Curiosity and creativity to question existing processes and approaches and innovate new ones;
- Experience managing customer relationships.
