Lead Software Engineer
As a CBRE Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and/or assist engineering operations including the direction of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing technical support, preventive/corrective maintenance, new installations or projects and analysis of procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Assist accounts/clients with executing operational strategies, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Collaboration in the definition of procedures or analysis of existing ones
- Assist accounts by applying a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, businesses, and key drivers that impact performance
- Work with the accounts and other service lines to grow business on the account, identify opportunities, and develop business cases collaborating with on and off account resources.
- Oversee and inspect operations, work performed by engineering staff and support with management of daily maintenance task flow.
- Implementation and collaboration on small projects, new installations of technical equipment and small works.
- Support investigation and root cause analysis of technical issues.
- Apply
- depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. - Review locations preventive maintenance program to assure local legal requirements are followed.
- Review, evaluate and document engineering competence for field maintenance activities
- Coach others and share
- depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. - Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-4 years of
- related experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. - Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
