As part of Vestas Digital Solutions, the Enterprise Platforms department is key to enabling Vestas' strategic priorities through scalable, secure, and efficient digital capabilities. Our mission is to support the green energy transition by delivering core technology platforms that streamline and connect business processes across the enterprise.
Within Enterprise Platforms, the API Development Chapter designs and builds
- native applications and enterprise APIs that are the foundation for integration and digital innovation at Vestas. We drive engineering excellence by defining and promoting best practices, standards, and development guidelines. Our work ensures that APIs across the organization are consistent,
- quality, and aligned with our architectural
- enabling fast, secure, and reliable digital solutions at scale.

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable
- grade APIs using Python (Fast
API) - Own the
-
- end development lifecycle: from requirements gathering and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support - Deploy
- native applications to Kubernetes clusters using Helm charts and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
Work with Azure Dev
Ops (ADO) for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and Git
Ops-based deployment workflows - Collaborate closely with stakeholders across business and technical teams to understand needs and translate them into effective API solutions
- Contribute to architectural discussions and define best practices, development standards, and engineering guidelines
- Mentor and support other developers, promoting a productive, collaborative engineering culture
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, combined with 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development with Python, including
- on experience with Fast
API - Hands-on experience building and deploying
- native applications in Kubernetes (K8s) environments - Proficiency with Azure Dev
Ops (ADO), Git, and CI/CD pipelines - Familiarity with Helm charts, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Git
Ops practices - Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs for enterprise use, with attention to scalability, security, and performance
- Thorough understanding of software development best practices, testing strategies, and clean code principles
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and support/mentor others
- You bring a sense of initiative and follow through on tasks with ownership and accountability
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on teamwork – able to work effectively with developers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal, able to explain technical concepts to various audiences
- Willing to support and mentor other team members, contributing to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing

The position can be based in Aarhus, Denmark; Warsaw, Poland; or Lisbon, Portugal. Please note that this position does not include relocation support.
