We are looking for a Legal Manager with proven experience in data protection and privacy. This role requires a strong legal and strategic profile to lead compliance projects, deliver
- quality legal advisory services, and support clients in navigating complex legal challenges related to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate compliance projects aligned with the GDPR and related regulations;
• Draft and review privacy policies and international data transfer instruments;
• Define and implement personal data governance programs;
• Provide legal guidance to data controllers, processors, and Data Protection Officers (DPOs);
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other risk analyses;
• Engage with supervisory authorities, such as the CNPD;
• Evaluate technology projects with a focus on privacy by design and accountability;
• Contribute to the development of our legal practice in AI, in alignment with the AI Act, DSA, DGA, and NIS2;
• Lead internal
  - sharing initiatives and legal methodology development;
• Advise public entities on matters related to data protection and administrative organization.
  
  

• Law degree (preferred final grade of 14/20 or higher);
• Active registration with the Portuguese Bar Association, with a minimum of six years of professional experience;
• Strong track record in data protection and legal compliance;
• Proficient knowledge of the GDPR, Law No. 58/2019, e
  Privacy Directive, and related regulations;
• Understanding of public administration and government structure;
• Critical thinking skills, strong organizational capabilities, and a
  - oriented mindset;
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Portuguese and English (mandatory);
• Proficient in collaborative digital work tools.
  
  

• Relevant certifications (e. g. , CIPP/E, CIPM);
• Postgraduate studies in Data Protection;
• Interest in the legal challenges posed by AI,
  - personal data regulation, and emerging technologies;
• Prior experience providing legal counsel to public entities or operating within regulated sectors;
• Demonstrated technical leadership, innovative legal thinking, and professional representation skills.
