Contract Librarian in Porto, Portugal



We are currently hiring a Contract Librarian to join our team in Porto, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and managing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage library collections by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries using both print and electronic resources
- Plan and implement programming to promote library services and engage the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and maintain library policies and procedures
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to enhance library offerings
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese (preferred)
- Knowledge of electronic databases, online catalog systems, and other library technologies
