Librarian

We are hiring a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Lisbon. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference questions, and developing library programs and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the library's physical and digital collections, including cataloguing and shelving materials
2. Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, providing guidance on information resources and databases
3. Develop and implement library programs and services to meet the needs of our community
4. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into curriculum
5. Create engaging displays to promote library materials and events
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming library space
7. Train volunteers and student assistants on library procedures
8. Stay current on developments in the field of librarianship through professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems and online databases
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others

Benefits:
