You will be part of the team working from Lisbon in the development of the Galileo Second Generation Radio Frequency Constellation Simulator (G2G RFCS), the largest contract ever signed by GMV in Portugal. This position is related to our Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) projects with the European Space Agency (ESA).

Your main tasks will be:

1. Manage the development team
2. Planning, monitoring, and control of the development activities
3. Integrate team members, provide coaching, and offer technical leadership
4. Ensure that the team adheres to and maintains high quality standards
5. Support the technical manager in analyzing and proposing technical solutions, contributing to the design of the product
6. Contribute throughout the development lifecycle to requirements analysis, manage unanticipated evolutions, assess impact, and adjust priorities accordingly
7. Conduct a significant part of the work in a Restricted Access Area
8. Be the documentation lead for development activities
9. Support the definition of development and management plans
10. Contribute to defining the company's strategy regarding the customer

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

You will directly report to the Head of GNSS Signal Technologies Division, who will also act as project manager, with you as part of the core team.

If this position sounds like a perfect fit for you, here’s what we are looking for:

1. At least 5-10 years of experience in team development
2. Eligibility for Personal Security Clearance
3. Experience in the design, implementation, integration, and validation of complex systems
4. Experience in applying and following internal quality standards and project monitoring procedures
5. Passion for challenges and technology
6. Good communication skills in English
7. Knowledge of tools and technologies such as C/C++, Python, Git, Multithreading/Multiprocessing, Distributed Systems, UML, Gtk/Qt

We also value previous experience and knowledge in:

1. Integration of software/hardware systems
2. Galileo operational projects for ESA
3. General or specific knowledge of GNSS
