You will be part of the team working from Lisbon in the development of the Galileo Second Generation Radio Frequency Constellation Simulator (G2G RFCS), the largest contract ever signed by GMV in Portugal. This position is related to our Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) projects with the European Space Agency (ESA).
Your main tasks will be:
- Manage the development team
- Planning, monitoring, and control of the development activities
- Integrate team members, provide coaching and technical leadership
- Ensure that the team adheres to and maintains high quality standards
- Support the technical manager in analyzing and proposing technical solutions, contributing to the product design
- Contribute to the development lifecycle by analyzing requirements, managing evolutions, assessing impacts, and adjusting priorities
- Conduct work in a Restricted Access Area
- Manage documentation related to development activities
- Support the definition of development and management plans
- Contribute to defining the company's strategy regarding the customer
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
You will report directly to the Head of the GNSS Signal Technologies Division, who will also act as project manager, with you as part of the core team.
If this position sounds like a perfect fit, here’s what we are looking for:
- At least 5-10 years of experience in team development
- Eligibility for Personal Security Clearance
- Experience in designing, implementing, integrating, and validating complex systems
- Experience in applying and following internal quality standards and project monitoring procedures
- Passion for challenges and technology
- Good communication skills in English
- Knowledge of tools and technologies like C/C++, Python, Git, Multithreading/Multiprocessing, Distributed systems, UML, Gtk/Qt
We also value previous experience and knowledge in:
- SW/HW system integration
- Galileo operational projects for ESA
- GNSS general or specific knowledge
