We are hiring an experienced Linux Engineer to join an international project supporting a business and development team, focusing on systems, database, and network management.

Responsibilities:

• Define and improve operational practices for production and application support in Linux environments.
• Assess existing job scheduling and batch execution processes, identify improvement opportunities, and guide customers with tailored recommendations.
• Support the implementation of automated scripts and streamlined batch processing using Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS/OPC) and JCL.
• Collaborate with
  - functional stakeholders to define deployment strategies and ensure platform reliability.
• Promote best practices, provide mentorship, and contribute to internal and external knowledge sharing.
• Serve as a technical advisor for platform optimization, integrations, and performance tuning.
• Influence product development by providing feedback to relevant teams.
• Ensure
  - quality documentation and transparency across workstreams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Linux administration, systems engineering, or application support roles.
• Proven expertise in Tivoli Workload Scheduler / OPC for job scheduling and stream optimization.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell (Bash/Ksh) and JCL.
• Hands-on experience with Linux system administration, including OS configurations and operational support.
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e. g. , Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Solid understanding of ITIL / IPC processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with file transfer tools (UDM) and EGEN for construction.
• Exposure to application servers (Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, JBOSS).
• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP) and scripting beyond Bash (Perl, Power
  Shell).
• Experience with Service
