Linux IT Project Consultant

Location:

Hybrid model | 2 days per week in Porto

Main Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across multiple environments (incident resolution, change requests, maintenance,
  - call).
• Deliver Level 3 IT infrastructure support and ensure applications’ stability through monitoring and resilient architectures.
• Lead and coordinate technical projects with infrastructure and development teams.
• Contribute to business projects by defining technical architecture and providing support.
• Improve tools and procedures (Shell, Power
  Shell, scripting, test scenarios).
• Manage changes and deployments of new application versions, coordinating with development, systems, databases, and network teams.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure to guarantee SLAs, manage capacity and optimize resources.
• Ensure compliance with security and standards, including Disaster Recovery Plans (regular testing).
• Document architectures, procedures, and operational processes.

Technical Environment

• Linux expertise (minimum 6 years’ experience) – Windows Server knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python).
• Solid understanding of web servers (migrations, e. G. , Web
  Sphere → JBoss).
• Knowledge of security aspects :
  
  SSL certificates, reverse proxy, load balancing.
• Experience with schedulers (Control-M, VTOM).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools :
  
  Git, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Open
  Shift, Docker.
