The Logistics Specialist will manage logistics activities to meet business fulfillment needs while aiming to reduce transportation costs. Responsibilities include managing outbound domestic and international logistics, coordinating shipments, providing logistics support and consulting, and obtaining the best transportation rates.

Ideal candidates will be able to:

• Route cargo according to legal and customer requirements
• Coordinate routing, including contract rates, spot quotes, carrier selection, and tendering cargo, while providing necessary documentation
• Proactively resolve issues related to shipments
• Issue shipping documents such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and insurance certificates
• Communicate effectively with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients, and internal teams
• Contract external logistics service providers for route and port surveys
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including permits, oversized, and hazardous cargo
• Maintain online tracking and metrics tools
• Track and resolve freight claims
