This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Costa Terra, set outside of Melides - Comporta.
As a Low Voltage Project Manager, your role will be to provide the Costa
Terra members, guests and employees with
- enabled environments, solutions and experiences which are cost effective,
- facing and industry leading. You will work within the DLC Field Innovation team to ensure all aspects of integrated technology at your assigned clubs meet with corporate standards and policies.
Early in the planning stage, you will work with the Club development / design team to accurately plan for budget and architectural space planning requirements in support of best‑in‑class technology implementation. Our communities include many phased and projectized vertical construction elements, with complex and fast‑paced schedule and delivery requirements. This position supports the onsite oversight of multiple contracted companies and resources across the active and in‑development portfolio to support on‑time and on‑budget delivery of turn‑key facilities, including the following services:
- Enterprise Audio Visual and Automation
- Network (Switching/Wireless)
- Security (Video and Access Control)
- Horizontal to Vertical Fiber Connectivity
- OSP and Private/Public Fiber Planning
At turnover of each club vertical construction element, this role will serve to provide commissioning support and ensure all close‑out documentation, warranties, training, support agreements and other elements are delivered to stakeholders and facilitate the successful turnover to Operation.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Work closely with development and operations management teams at assigned clubs to create short and long‑term low voltage infrastructure plans
- Review design at all stages of planning for low voltage budgetary roadmap
- Make effective decisions on projects when presented with changing requirements by overseeing change management for projects both in design and active construction
- Develop and manage vendor and integrator relationships to ensure accurate delivery and installation to designed specifications and standards
- Perform quality control and assurance (QA/QC) throughout design and development to ensure expected standards, schedules and budgets are responsibly managed.
Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of construction low voltage (technology) project management field experience
- Demonstrated field experience performing construction QA/QC and monitoring work performance of 3rd‑party low voltage contractors and integrators
- Working knowledge of, and field experience with structured cabling, AV, CCTV, and access control systems and devices.
- Experience in managing large scale, multi‑million dollar commercial/industrial projects.
- Experience with generating and reviewing RFI’s and RFP’s
- Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, and NEC standards
- Experience managing revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills and written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS In Construction Management, Engineering or other applicable field of study
- Industry Accreditation from BICSI (RTPM), CTS, CTS‑D or similar accredited organization
- Project Management Institute PMP or other Project Management Certification
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
- Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast‑paced environment
