About The Role

The Tripadvisor Gen
AI Team is seeking an exceptional individual to design and develop
- generation AI systems to understand our travelers and enhance customer experience. This work aims to significantly improve our ability to offer travelers the broadest, most relevant travel products. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead projects related to NLP, recommendations, topic detection, and more.

Location

This position can be based in Portugal, with options for office, hybrid, or remote work.

What You Will Do

1. Collaborate with senior team members to design, implement, and deploy machine learning models and systems.
2. Participate in all stages of the machine learning development lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model evaluation, and deployment.
3. Work closely with
   - functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into machine learning solutions.
4. Contribute to the improvement of existing machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
5. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in machine learning and share knowledge with the team.

Who You Are

1. An experienced machine learning engineer with a track record in developing and deploying models.
2. Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and experience with generative AI applications.
3. Excellent
   - solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Enthusiastic about learning and growth within a collaborative environment.
5. Effective communicator capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Skills & Experience

1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in machine learning engineering or related roles.
3. Proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries such as Py
   Torch, Tensor
   Flow, Jax, spa
   Cy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, Lang
   Graph, etc.
4. Experience with generative AI models, prompt engineering, model tuning, and working with LLMs and AI agents.
5. Knowledge of deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
6. Understanding of software development best practices, version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
