Position: Machine Learning Engineer/Data Science

Location: Lisbon | Hybrid

What You’ll Do

• Design & Deploy: Build, train, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions into production.
• Innovate: Fine-tune and extend Large Language Models (LLMs), working with both
  - source and commercial models.
• Optimize: Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to improve model efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering to unlock better model performance.
• Build Generative AI: Develop advanced AI solutions for content creation, process automation, and innovation.
• Apply Traditional ML: Use decision trees, SVMs, neural networks, and other ML algorithms to solve diverse problems.
• Collaborate: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure
  - quality AI solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring.
• Document & Share: Maintain clear technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and reproducibility.

About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and AI development.
• Strong experience with Generative AI, including model training,
  - tuning, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with
  - source and commercial LLMs.
• Proficient in Python and frameworks such as Py
  Torch, Tensor
  Flow, and Hugging Face.
• Solid understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques.
• Familiar with traditional ML approaches (decision trees, SVMs, neural networks, etc. ).
• Experience deploying ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong
  - solving skills, analytical mindset, and excellent communication abilities.
• Fluent in English (French is a plus).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).
• Experience with prompt engineering.
• Understanding of ethical AI, fairness, and model interpretability.
