About the Role
We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join Promptly. This role blends applied research and production engineering, designed for those who love to bridge the gap between novel ideas and real‑world impact. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our models – training, deploying, monitoring and developing novel evaluation methodologies. A strong foundation in statistical learning is essential, as is a deep understanding of model behaviour to ensure reliability, interpretability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Work On

Train, fine‑tune and deploy production models, focusing on deep learning and transformer architectures for natural language processing.

Develop novel evaluation and monitoring systems to move beyond standard accuracy metrics and systematically understand model quality and behaviour in real‑time.

Bridge research and production by translating cutting‑edge techniques in information retrieval, semantic search and agent‑based systems into scalable services.

Build robust infrastructure by engineering and automating our MLOps pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable workflows.

You May Be a Good Fit If You

Possess a strong foundation in statistical learning, data‑science principles and classical machine learning.

Have proven experience building and deploying machine‑learning systems in production using Python.

Are naturally curious about debugging complex systems and thinking deeply about model failure modes and interpretability.

Can balance research exploration with engineering rigor, holding your work to high standards of quality and reproducibility.

Are a self‑starter, comfortable taking ownership of a project and driving it forward with autonomy.

Have a strong interest or experience in applying ML to challenging domains, particularly within natural language processing.

Strong Candidates May Also Have

Experience building and deploying models in a cloud environment (GCP/AWS).

Deep expertise in fine‑tuning and evaluating models.

A proven track record of implementing MLOps best practices in production.
